JXNR (pronounced Junior) is a concept label that is based within the premise of London, United Kingdom – a creation of an extremely young Nigerian origin.
The whole idea of the label is that all who are associated with it are family – there is no superiority or inferiority but plainly equality (which explains the meaning behind the upside-down crown). The digital designs are primarily made out of emotions towards a younger audience to drive the sense that someone understands how the youth of today feel – “…you are not alone, sincerely, … Jr”
As a label we follow a process that is focussed on all aspects of every garment so we don’t leave any piece unchecked and make sure everything is of good quality. We tend work with suppliers so all products we create are conceptualised and custom created through the mind of the creator which is then brought to life to gift the beloved JXNR family (from those who have been around since our humble beginnings to those that will join in future).
Materials and fit are highly important, this sometimes involves multiple sample runs to ensure the materials have the highest comfort level and best skin feel. From the art of creating the garment for comfort to the graphics that go onto it, this revolves around the basis of being simplistic yet extravagant in the designing and creation of the products that are produced. The use simple shapes and wording in the correct placement creates a master piece so there is never to much or too little.
Each piece is researched in great detail to achieve particular fit models and aesthetics – JXNR prides itself in creating a more oversized look as we want our clothes that can be worn anywhere. Whether to a party, concert to just laying in bed on a cool Sunday evening to achieve this, having a background in design this process for us is extremely important and lengthy
